5 Time Winner of *Best Shiraz in NSW*
When young, a full bodied wine that displays earthy, briary aromas. Big, ripe blackcurrant & plum flavour flows onto the front of the palate ending in a smooth finish hinting pepper and spiced fruit characteristics.
As they age, the bright luscious fruit loses its youthful berry aromas and the concentration of spice and tannins are more evident. Depending on the vintage, they can turn into quite a soft Hunter Shiraz. This 2014 is an exception as it has withheld great structure and fruit characteristics for its first ten years of its life. A contender for a phenomenal 20 + years of cellaring.
